RV tire specs
These are the tires on your RV -- not the dinghy or tow vehicle. Check your door placard or sidewall for the correct values.
🗓 Tire manufacture dates
Find the 4-digit number at the end of the DOT code on the tire sidewall. Example: DOT ...2319 = Week 23 of 2019. Enter front and rear separately if they differ.

🔍 How to find your tire's manufacture date

Every tire made after 2000 has a DOT code stamped on the sidewall. The last 4 digits tell you when it was made.

Look for this on the sidewall:
DOT AB CD EFG 2319
The last 4 digits are the date code
23
First 2 digits
Week of the year
(01 = first week of Jan)
19
Last 2 digits
Year of manufacture
(19 = 2019)
📍 The DOT code is on the inner or outer sidewall -- you may need to look at both sides
📍 The full code starts with DOT followed by letters and numbers
📍 Only the last 4 digits matter for the date -- ignore the rest
📍 Tires made before 2000 have only 3 digits -- replace immediately
📍 If front and rear tires are different ages, record them separately in the garage
⚠️ Tire age guidelines & replacement rules
0–5
Years
Generally safe -- inspect annually
5–7
Years
Inspect carefully -- consider replacing
7+
Years
Replace -- regardless of appearance
🔴 Most RV tire manufacturers recommend replacing after 7 years regardless of tread depth
🔴 The NHTSA recommends inspecting tires annually after 5 years and replacing after 10 years maximum
🔴 RVs age tires faster than cars -- UV exposure, ozone, and sitting still degrade rubber even without miles
🔴 A tire can look perfect and still be structurally compromised from age -- do not judge by appearance alone
🔴 If in doubt, have tires inspected by a qualified tire technician before any long trip

This app helps RV owners travel safely by tracking weight limits, tire pressures, towing specs, rig dimensions, and travel day checklists -- all in one place. Start by adding your RV in the Garage, then work through each tab before every departure.

🏠 Garage

Your fleet hub. Store all your RVs, motorhomes, and trailers here. Each vehicle keeps its own specs, dimensions, tire data, and towing configuration.

🚗 Towing specs (in Edit RV)

Towing rated limits are stored as garage specs. These are maximums -- actual trip weights are entered on the Weights tab each trip.
